Golf Links: Surfing the Tangled Web

Not sure if any of this really means anything, but may provide some clues to the internal mechanisms of the Leicester-Portimao business and leisure networks and possible divisions. Could well be a series of coincidences.

• Tuck Price - Gay interior designer, 'swishing' advisor and friend of Robert Murat. The American is alleged to have told the Daily Mail - "When this is all over, I hope he makes a buck or two out of it. He bloody deserves it." Price's 'swishing' sponsors include Algarve artist, Anna Westwood, wife of golf-pro Tony Westwood who was appointed Head of Boavista Golf Club (which is practically next door to the Ocean Club).
  
  
• Boavista Golf Club The club's perimetres were searched by Police in the days immediately following Madeleine's disappearence. Tony Westwood was appointed Promotional Manager and Golf Professional at Boavista Golf and Leisure Resort between August and October 2009. John Geraghty, the Leicester property/contsruction millionaire who loaned the McCanns the use of his garage to store their Renault Scenic after their sudden return to Leicester in September 2007. Geraghty is mentioned as providing entertainment at the Boavista Golf Resort on several occasions. Geraghty is also a member of the Boavista's 'Hole in One Club'. He lives in the Sargaçal region. Boavista is co-managed by Orbit Developments and the Emerson Group based in Cheshire - home of Brian Kennedy the McCann's sponsor and Edward Smethurst, the McCann's property developer lawyer.
  
  Tony Westwood - Pro-Golf/Hypnotist husband of Algarve (now Lisbon) artist and illustrator, Anna Westwood, who co-advised and co-sponsored a 'swishing' event with Tuck Price - the gay interior designer friend of Robert Murat. Westwood had previously been Chairman of Leicestershire & Rutland P G A - coordinating coaching at the golf clubs. He is also a committed supporter of the Associação Turismo Do Algarve. Since relocating permanetly to the Algarve in September 2008 after several extended stays, Westwood has endorsed a number of key tourist projects including the new Algarve Racetrack, a project speraheaded by Mayor Manuel da Luz and Goncalo Amaral's wife Sofia Leal who works for the Mayor's office. Westwood was also Leicestershire & Rutland County Coach for Junior Golfers 1988 – 2004. Kate McCann was a GP at Latham House Medical Practice in Melton Mowbray, where Westwood headed up coaching at Six Hills Golf Club but there is no indication they had ever met.
  
  Like Murat, Tony Westwood dabbled in the Algarve Porperty market, specialising in those looking to buy golfing homes in the srea.
  
  Both Gerry McCann and David Payne are keen golfers, the pair having booked a golfing holiday in 1994. Mr McCann was himself the victim of a theft of golf clubs from his car in 2006 (is it possible he has enemies amongst his close cricle of golfing buddies?). Gerry's golfing buddy, Doug Skehan works as Senior Consultant at Glenfield Hospital. There is a company registered to an Anthony Westwood in postal region LE7 7 - in Rothley, Leicestershire. This is the same post code of Rothley Court Hotel.
  
  
• Aurora Pereira Vaz and Danillo Chemllo - the two convicted child abusers arrested in connection with a £2.6 million extortion bid. The Evening Times reported that Spanish detectives spent several hours searching Chemello's house next door to the Valderrama golf course in Southern Spain, and popular with upmarket players such as Robert Kilroy Silk and Prince Andrew. Vaz was said to own diamond mines in the former Portuguese colony of Angola. Like Halligen the pair had also been accused of Money Laundering and Fraud.
